Intelligences Theory is still a regular topic in educational literature, a debated issue at conferences and workshops and a component of teacher training programmes. However, the causes of this exceptional popularity have not been teased out yet. The wide currency of Gardner\u2019s model can be<br \/> attributed neither to its undisputable scientifi c credibility nor to its overlap with laypeople\u2019s notions of intelligence. Similar observations can be made in the fi eld of English language teaching. Despite the accumulating evidence, there is no comprehensive theory linking second language acquisition with multiple intelligences. Nor is there suffi cient research regarding the effi ciency of Multiple Intelligences Theory approaches to TEFL.
