The development of educators in the field of foreign language is a guarantee of efficiency and quality in modern education; it is especially important today when one of the key competencies required of a successful young professional is foreign language mastery. This paper presents the results of a study of the archives of the Specialized Scientific Council of Education at the High Attestation Commission. The purpose of this study was to analyze the scientific and career development of the foreign language faculty members in Bulgarian universities in the period between 1999 to 2010. The findings of the study show that it is necessary to support graduate students who conduct their doctoral dissertation research in the field of foreign language methods.The study recommends that The present letter reviews a short, but very interesting critical analysis made by Nikola Bobchev. The analysis focuses on a grammar book on syntax for secondary schools in Bulgaria.Nikola Bobchev criticizes the writer of the grammar book \u2013 Konstantin Karadja on the basis of the arguments substantiated by modern Bulgarian, French ,German and Russian linguistics. He claims that grammar is a complex science and cannot be practiced by amateurs. Nikola Bobchev is a brilliant analyst and a polyglot. This is why he manages to dissect the imperfections and the serious mistakes made in that grammar book on syntax.
