Best Linear Unbiased Prediction Procedure \nas Statistical Tools in Educational Research \non the Impact of Web-Based Educational Resources for the Formation of Environmental Competence in Biological Preparation \nof Students in 7th Grade<\/h3>\n

Abstract.<\/strong> The study presents highlights of a pedagogical experiment on the contribution of web-based educational resources for the formation of environmental competencies in the teaching of biology and health education in 7th grade. The experimental data were subjected to statistical processing with the procedural model BLUP (Best Linear Unbiased Prediction). Thus, we demonstrate the possibilities for application of this statistical model in pedagogical research, which is the purpose of this study.

The Principal\u2019s Control Activities \nin the Kindergarten \u2013 Sharing Good Practices<\/h3>\n

Abstract.<\/strong> One of the main functions of the principal in the kindergarten is the control activity one performs. The object and the subject of the control activity of the principal, the methods of control, as well as the organization of the control activity are entered in the plan for control activity prepared by the principal, after which it is necessary to perform an analysis of the control activity. The analysis is presented at a meeting of the pedagogical council and measures for improvement and refinement of the activity are proposed for discussion. The following activities are subject to control in the kindergarten: educational, qualification, administrative - managerial, social - household and economic, financial. The purpose of monitoring the control in a kindergarten in Sofia is to provide reliable information about the actual quality of the activity in the kindergarten and the related circumstances about the reasons that caused possible deviations and the ways to eliminate them.

The Golden Section Of The Golden Mask<\/h3>\n

Abstract.<\/strong> Regional Historical Museum \u201cDr Simeon Tabakov\u201d \u2013 Sliven preserves and exhibits a precious golden mask, which was found in 2007 during regular archaeological excavations, led by Dr Georgi Kitov in Dalakova mound, located in the village of Topolchane (Sliven region). As early as 2500 years ago, the ancient Thracian master applied the principles of ideal proportion\u00a0corresponding to the \u201cgolden ratio\u201d in geometry, art and architecture. Also known as the \u201cgolden section\u201d, it symbolizes harmony, beauty and perfection, and was kept in strict secrecy by those who had inside knowledge of it. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0

Abstract.<\/strong> The text shares quite different experience, born by the childhood imagination. It emphasises on an interesting idea that arose in literature classes in 6th grade more than a year ago. Gradually, this idea became a mission and is about to establish itself as a tradition at \u201cSt. Paisius of Hilendar\u201d secondary school. Two sixth grade classes made their own time capsule which buried it in the courtyard of the school. The text tells about the process for realizing the idea, faced difficulties and ways for overcoming them.

Project-Based Learning In English Classes \u2013 \nA Means Of Increasing Students' Motivation<\/h3>\n

Abstract.<\/strong> The article examines the application of the design-based method of learning in English language classes and the opportunities it gives teachers to create tasks which complexity and openness imitate problems in the real world. Students can see the cross-curricular nature of these tasks and realize that each task can have more than one solution. Students who have the freedom to choose different strategies and approaches can be engaged more actively in the learning process, thus increasing their motivation for learning foreign language. Presented and applied in the classes are the theoretical foundations of the project-based training, discussed are the difficulties encountered and are presented the benefits of the participation of the students in the project.

Creative Laboratory \u201cThe Text Georgi Markov\u201d<\/h3>\n

Abstract.<\/strong> In October, 2019, the School Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (StudyBAS) announced a competition for creating small study-research communities (SSRC) within the framework of the program \u201cEducation and Science\u201d financed by the Ministry of Education and Science and performed by BAS. The project made by the teacher of Bulgarian Language and Literature, Diyana Boeva from \u201cGeo Milev\u201d Foreign Languages High School \u2013 Dobrich, \u201dCreative laboratory \u201cGeorgi Markov as Text\u201d \u2013 has been approved among over eighty project proposals from the entire country. This article showcases aspects of the concrete plan of the Laboratory, examines some challenging opportunities for the school students related to the development of their analytical skills so necessary for studying science. Thus, we overcome the stereotype that the literary field is an unattainable abstraction unrelated to science. Four students with their teacher prove that the name Georgi Markov is appropriate not only for a projection of a research community, but is also a way of legitimizing the humanities in times when purposefully or not the STEM education is being regarded in opposition to studia humanitatis.

Stem Training \u2013 Education Of The Future<\/h3>\n

Abstract.<\/strong> The article presents the notion STEM education and the reasons determining its introduction to the educational programs. This approach, not yet sufficiently known to the Bulgarian educational system, is project-based and creates interdisciplinary relations, challenges the school students and stirs an interest in science and technologies. There are variants of STEM education which could potentially be introduced to EG \u201cGeo Milev\u201c \u2013 Dobrich, with instructions given for the preparation of a STEM lesson. The STEM education problematics are pointed out, as well as the positive aspects of this approach.
