Formative Science Assessment in an E-Education Environment

Abstract. The article presents theoretical aspects of formative assessment in the process of learning science in secondary school in the context of different educational environments. Functions of formative assessment related to planning, (self) management of the learning process are described, including its possibilities for improving the learning process as a self-regulating process. A survey was conducted with science teachers about their views and practical solutions for assessing student achievement in distance learning in an electronic environment. On the basis of the obtained results, analyzes and summaries of encountered difficulties, ways of evaluation and self-evaluation in learning natural sciences at a distance in an electronic environment have been derived.
