Abstract. The aim of the research is to derive some specifics in the process of training students of pedagogical specialties at the Faculty of Pedagogy at the Trakia University – Stara Zagora to master and apply the research method content analysis, as part of the emerging professional and pedagogical competencies. The training is carried out in the conditions of an epidemic situation, in mixed and distance form. The subject of the research is the degree of formation of the competence for application of the content analysis method under the described conditions of two groups of students – full-time and part-time form of education in three specialties. The hypothesis of the study is that there would be no statistically significant differences between the results of the application of the method for analysis of educational content in the subject “Man and Society”, established by solving the respective cognitive tasks of the two groups of students.
